What Is All-on-X?
All-on-X is an advanced full-arch dental implant treatment designed to replace an entire upper or lower set of teeth using a strategic number of dental implants.
The “X” represents the number of implants selected according to each patient’s anatomy, available bone, bite and restorative requirements.
All-on-X is a personalized full-arch solution that may be supported by 4 or 6 implants, depending on your anatomy, bone availability, bite, and restorative needs.
Unlike removable dentures, the restoration is supported by dental implants and designed to provide improved stability, function, comfort and natural-looking aesthetics.

Who May Be a Candidate?
All-on-X may be considered for patients with extensive tooth loss, severely compromised teeth, or uncomfortable removable dentures who are seeking a fixed full-arch implant-supported solution.
Multiple Missing Teeth
Patients who have lost several teeth or are facing the loss of most or all teeth in one arch and are seeking a fixed full-arch replacement.
Failing Dentition
Patients with severely damaged, mobile, or non-restorable teeth who need a comprehensive full-arch rehabilitation solution.
Removable Denture Patients
Patients who currently wear removable dentures and are looking for improved stability, comfort, chewing function, and a fixed implant-supported full-arch restoration.
A complete clinical and radiographic evaluation is required to determine whether All-on-X is appropriate for your individual case.
More Than Dental Implants
Successful All-on-X treatment requires more than simply placing dental implants. A predictable full-arch rehabilitation must consider implant position, available bone, bite, facial proportions, smile design, speech, chewing function, and the long-term restorative plan.
The All-on-X Treatment Process
All-on-X treatment is planned in stages, from diagnosis and digital planning to implant placement, provisional teeth, healing, and the final full-arch restoration. Each phase is adapted to your anatomy, restorative needs, and treatment goals.
Comprehensive Evaluation
We evaluate your teeth, gums, bite, bone anatomy, smile, and overall oral condition to determine whether All-on-X is appropriate and to plan your full-arch rehabilitation.
Digital Planning
CBCT imaging and digital restorative planning help evaluate available bone, determine implant distribution, and design the prosthetic plan for a predictable All-on-X full-arch rehabilitation.
Implant Placement
Dental implants are strategically positioned according to your bone anatomy, prosthetic plan, and restorative requirements to provide stable support for the full-arch restoration.
Provisional Restoration
When implant stability and clinical conditions allow, a fixed provisional full-arch restoration may be delivered during the initial phase of treatment, allowing you to leave with fixed teeth while healing begins.
Healing
During the healing phase, the implants integrate with the bone while the gums and surrounding tissues are monitored. Follow-up visits help us evaluate healing, bite, comfort, and the stability of the provisional restoration.
Final Restoration
After the appropriate healing period, the final full-arch restoration is designed to optimize fit, bite, chewing function, smile aesthetics, and long-term maintenance for a natural and stable result.
Potential Benefits of All-on-X
Depending on your individual case, All-on-X treatment may provide a fixed full-arch solution designed to improve chewing function, stability, comfort, smile aesthetics, and overall quality of life.

International patients considering All-on-X dental implants in Panama can begin the evaluation process remotely before making travel arrangements.
Before scheduling your virtual consultation with Dr. Virgilio Castillero, a recent CBCT scan must be submitted in its original DICOM format. This allows us to review your three-dimensional dental and bone anatomy before your Zoom consultation.
CBCT in DICOM Format Is Required
A CBCT scan in its complete DICOM format must be received and reviewed before a virtual consultation can be scheduled. Screenshots, individual images, JPG files, or PDF reports do not replace the complete DICOM study.

Preliminary Clinical Review
Your CBCT is reviewed before the consultation so that your Zoom appointment can focus on the anatomical findings, your concerns, and the possible All-on-X treatment options for your case. STL files may also be reviewed if available.

What Do We Need Before Your Zoom Consultation?
Before scheduling your virtual consultation with Dr. Virgilio Castillero, we require a recent CBCT (Cone Beam CT Scan) in its complete original DICOM format.
The CBCT allows us to evaluate your three-dimensional bone anatomy, existing teeth, anatomical structures, and the conditions relevant to preliminary All-on-X treatment planning before meeting with you.
If you already have an intraoral digital scan, you may also send the STL files. These files can provide additional information for restorative and prosthetic planning, but they are not required for the initial virtual consultation.
Your dental concerns, medical history, previous treatments, expectations, medications, and other relevant information will be discussed directly with Dr. Castillero during your Zoom consultation.
After your Zoom consultation, we may send you a medical questionnaire to better understand your health history, current medications, and relevant medical conditions. Based on this information, Dr. Castillero may recommend additional medical tests or clearance from your physician before treatment, if clinically indicated.
Required Before Zoom
Optional, If Available
No additional dental records are required before the Zoom consultation. Your medical history, medications, previous treatments, and other relevant information will be reviewed during your virtual meeting with Dr. Castillero. If needed, a medical questionnaire may be sent afterward to determine whether additional medical tests or physician clearance are recommended before treatment.
Your Virtual Consultation Is the First Step
The remote review and Zoom consultation provide a preliminary assessment and an opportunity to discuss possible treatment options. A definitive diagnosis and final treatment plan require an in-person clinical and radiographic evaluation in Panama.

All-on-X Dental Implants FAQ
Is All-on-X the same as All-on-4?
All-on-4 refers to a treatment concept using four implants to support a full arch. All-on-X is a broader concept in which the number and position of implants are selected according to the patient’s individual anatomy and restorative needs.
Can I receive fixed teeth the same day?
In selected cases, a fixed provisional restoration may be possible shortly after implant placement. This depends on bone quality, implant stability, bite conditions and other clinical factors.
Will I need bone grafting?
Not every patient requires bone grafting. Your bone anatomy must be evaluated using appropriate diagnostic imaging before recommendations can be made.
Can both upper and lower arches be treated?
Yes. Some patients require treatment of one arch, while others may need comprehensive rehabilitation of both the upper and lower arches.
Can you evaluate my case before I travel to Panama?
Yes. International patients can begin with a remote evaluation before traveling to Panama. A recent CBCT (Cone Beam CT Scan) in complete DICOM format is required before the Zoom consultation. STL files from an intraoral scan may also be submitted if available. A definitive diagnosis and final treatment plan require an in-person clinical evaluation in Panama.
